The next goal after sub-4 is to make your first "A" Time standard. The time standards are put out by Swim BC and are created as entry level points for the AA and AAA Provincial Championships. KISU uses the A time standard as an entry point for the upcoming Kamloops meet (Dec. 14 - 16). Once swimmers achieve the time standard they are eligible to attend the meet. The YES program is KISU's training group for athlete's with physical and intellectual disabilities. The water allows these athletes a freedom that many never experience on land. The Canadian and International Swimming Associations have a well-developed program to allow these athletes to participate and compete with one another.In order to train, many of these swimmers need assistance in the water and/or on the deck.
