In September of 2022, the Board of Kisu introduced mandatory fundraising in an effort to offset not only the club’s operating expenses, but also holding registration fees as low as possible to keep Kisu as affordable as possible.

We understand that not every family enjoys fundraising, and therefore, members will also have the option to “buy out” their fundraising commitment by paying the fee as outlined below.

If you choose to do the “buy out” please contact Mike Flegel our administrator at [email protected] to arrange payment.

We do hope that everyone joins in with the fundraising as it’s a great way for swimmers and families to contribute to their community, get to know other members of the club outside of their own swimmers’ group(s), and build team spirit together.

For the 2025-2026 season, the focus will be on maximizing the funds raised via our “Albatross Megaswim” in an effort to minimize the number of "Other Fundraising Opportunities" that need to be coordinated and organized.

For those families new to KISU you are probably asking WHAT IS ALBATROSS MEGASWIM?  First and foremost, the Albatross Megaswim is about allowing the swimmers to test their mental and physical capabilities to go a full 5 km in under 2 hours.  Even our young Mini-squad swimmers will participate with a modified swim goal to do their best and swim as far as they can go during the last week of November.
Combined, our distance goal is over a HALF MILLION METRES for the whole club!

The KISU Albatross Megaswim is also our only fundraiser completed in our own pool, where all of our swimmers from Mini-Squad to Academy test their limits, swim the distance, and celebrate their accomplishment.

Fundraising is an important part of our club.  It helps keeps our club fees low and helps provide extra resources for Kisu to purchase special equipment and pursue enhanced opportunities.
Albatross is a great fundraiser that your family and friends can rally behind you and support your strength and stamina.

Please if you have any questions regarding fundraising you can always reach out to our new Board President, Amy Kinnear, at [email protected].
