Kelowna Meet Review
We had two very exciting meets in Kelowna this past weekend - the Main Meet and the Jamboree. There were some major breakthroughs for swimmers. We had four swimmers who went their first A times – Mckenna Clarke, Nikita Logie, Riley Thompson and Jaxon Stel – all in the 200 Breaststroke. We also had some other swimmers who went new time standards in their events –
Acacia Benn AA in 200 IM, 400 Free, 200 Free and 400 IM.
Daniel Everton – AA in 200 IM, 400 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Free and 400 IM.
Reece Haberstock – AA in 200 Breast.
Elijah Kliever – A times in 200 Breast, 200 Fly and 200 Free.
Matthew Koster – A times in 200 Brst, 200 Fly, 200 Free and AA in 400 IM.
Nikita Logie – A times (as a 14 year old. Nikita has been working on making the A time as a 15 year old as her birthday is between now and the Kamloops Meet) – 200 Back, 200 IM, 200 Brst, 200 Free and 400 IM.
Xelian Louw – AA in 200 Back, A times in 400 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Free.
James Naude – A time in 200 Free.
Belize Souch- Tremblay – AA in 200 Breast, A times in 200 Fly and 800 Free.
Jaxon Stel – A time in 200 Breast.
Riley Thompson – A time in 200 Breast.
Kristen Vandeweghe – A times in 200 Back, 200 IM, 400 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Free and 400 IM.
Mackenzie Wallich – A times in 200 IM, 400 Free and 200 Free.
The Jamboree on Sunday afternoon was also very exciting. KISU had three swimmers go sub-4 – Dilmeet Gill, Lindsay Spear and Joy Wang. Congratulations!
