Vernon Meet
Great job KISU at the Vernon Meet.
The meet started out on teh Friday night with 50 Back and Breast . . . and then the 800. We had some great first time swims in the 800 by Elijah Kliever, Mackenzie Wallich and Clara Schirrmeister. The most improved 800 goes to Nikita Logie who took off 102seconds!
Saturday finals were very exciting. Ashley McMillan had a great 100 Fly in the morning with a 1:46, which put her in third place going into the evening finals. Ashley is quite the competitor and she swam her heart out in this race to take off nine seconds and claim the gold medal. Elijah Kliever also had an awesome day making his first AA time in the 200 Back.
Sunday also had excitement as Emily Caruso swam a spectacular 200 Breast making her first AA time in her life.
On Sunday afternoon, we had the Jamboree. There were many great swims in this meet, but a couple of highlights were Dilmeet Gill's first 200 IM with a 3:48 and Joy Wang in her first 100 IM with 2:01. The meet finished off with some exciting relays including the 11&O girls. Everyone swam their hearts out and Dilmeet anchored the relay with an awesome 38 to bring home the blue ribbons.
Great job everyone!
