This year, KISU will celebrate 30 years as a premiere swim club in the Okanagan Valley. Current and former swim club members and their families are invited to join the celebration.

Tim Hortons Polar Bear Swim

Join our athletes for a quick dip as they brave the frigid temperatures of Okanagan Lake. Do your dip in a costume for your chance to win some KISU prizes. Tim Hortons will be on hand to provide hot chocolate, coffee and treats. Make sure you bring towels and blankets to warm up!

Celebrity Swim Meet

Watch our athletes as they compete against ‘local celebrities’. Everyone is invited on the pool deck to cheer on their favourite KISU swimmers and celebrities.

Athletes will feast together with family and friends and celebrate the 30-year journey of KISU. Silent auction and 30-year commemorative items will be available as a fundraiser for our scholarship program.

Kamloops Valentine's Meet permission slip is out. We are planning on Team Bus Travel for this meet (this is optional).  Please see more info. on the permission slip, due Friday, January 13 -  HERE.

AA and AAA permission slips will be coming out soon.  They will be emailed to swimmers/parents of swimmers who have qualified for those meets.

 KISU January Jamboree - Well done KISU swimmers at the January Jamboree.  It was great to see everyone swim so fast.  We had three swimmers smash through the 4 minute mark for their 200 IM.  Congratulations to Olivia Tom (3:56), Grace Logie (3:52) and Riley Thompson (3:44).  We also had many, many best times.  Please check out the results - HERE.  I'm still waiting on the final word on the team scores . . . :)

It was also great to see all the volunteer roles filled by KISU parents and especially sub-4 KISU swimmers.

KISU will be expanding our Masters Swim Program for the 2011 - 2012 season.  We will be running 10 practices a week -

We will have an 'unlimited rate' based on 3 times a week, as well as a twice a week rate and drop in.  More info. at MASTERS.

Jan. 2 - Mar. 16, $220 for unlimited and $165 for twice a week.  See you at the pool.

Equipment – new team suits for January, club suits on sale for the fall.

We will be putting our present stock of KISU suits on sale as follows:

girls sizes 22-28 = $35;  sizes 30-38 =$40; boys jammers sizes 22-28 = $15; and sizes 30-40 =$20  Suits will be available for purchase at the Welcome Back BBQ in September.

Also, we would like to let our club members know that Vanquisher prescription goggles are also available on request (that is, we can order them through TAS) at a cost of approximately $20.
