Jane Bentley has been with the KISU swim club for the past 13 years as an assistant coach. She coaches the Juniors and Super Juniors as well as the YES group and PARA athletes. She also works for the City of Penticton as an lifeguard supervisor where she founded and facilitates a water therapy program.
Jane has more then 35 years competitive swimming experience first as an athlete and later as a coach. While living in Ontario she coached at Scarborough swim club as well as many seasons at Ak-O-MAK a competitive swim camp for girls. She has her level 1 coaching in swimming, diving and triathlon is a certified fitness instructor, a technical classifier for SWAD swimming in BC and has recently been working on a degree in neuro kinesiology. Jane has a diverse sports background from swimming to rock climbing, skiing, triathlon and paddling. She paddled at a national level in Canada and now enjoys sailing. The importance of sport in development of youth is a big factor for Jane as a swim coach. Her years involved in swimming has taught her that swimming is the sport for everyone because of the life lessons it provides. She hopes to see you at the pool. She has no pet peeves and her weakness is oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
