Paul admits to not having a competitive swimming background, other than competing in Ironman in 2005.  However, Paul has earned his coaching Level 1 Theory and has immersed himself in all things swimming to enhance his knowledge base.  Coaching swimming has been by far the best coaching experience in Paul's varied coaching background as a school teacher in Calgary.  As a substitute teacher Paul has enjoyed being able to see the club swimmers in a different atmosphere where he can make other connections with them.  His expectations for the swimmers include challenging themselves every practice while truly thinking about how they can become better in every skill aspect.  He looks forward to an exciting and busy season full of main great gains.
